Payment of debt ~ 3 YEARS DUE Collections Who I Where to begin? PLEASE HELP ME!!?
I'm finally in a situation where I pay my debt off in 3 years I went back out but I have no idea where to start! I know I need to get a copy of my credit report? There are many sites that do not know where to begin. I am also sure that everyone should (i know I owe Victorias Secret. Washington Mutual. Visa. Verizon, Cingular ..) I want to get out of debt, repair my credit and be able to get a bank account. Please Please Please help me out!
You are entitled to a copy free of your credit report per year. That on the credit report from each of the three reporting agencies, Experian and TransUnion Equafax. Website created by these three companies is below. You can get online and printed. Start there. It should list all your old credit cards that are in arrears. Of the companies contact and begin to make arrangements to pay them. Most of them work with you if you make arrangements to pay the debt and continue with the plan. Repairing your credit takes time. The most important factor in your credit score is payment history, and that means timely payments. Unfortunately, this takes time. It will take 6 months or so to pay in time to see significant improvement. The second most important factor is the ratio of debt. That is the amount you owe. So you need to get some of these numbers pay. Good luck. Hope this helps. Above all, it's just going to take some time to work on things to pay before you will see a difference. You can not do so.
