How can my fiance fix his credit FAST?
We’re looking into apartments & such and found out my fiancé’s credit is so bad that we can’t get a place together. We need to fix his credit fast because we’re expecting our son anywhere between 9 and 11 weeks. Can somebody please help us? I have no credit & a clear criminal background, but no income. He has bad credit, 1 small misdemeanor on his criminal background & is making the money. How can we get a place to stay before baby is born? Please no insults, or smart ass remarks because I seriously just need help.

There is no way to fix bad credit quickly. He would need open, active accounts and at least 24 months of consistent, on time payment history to see any improvement in his score.
Your only option would be to find a place that would overlook his poor credit. Maybe extra deposit or paying several extra months in advance.

I am trying to fix my credit fast. I have just a few credit cards that need paid of and a other bill, so it’s a total of 4k. what is my fastest way i can do that. i can save up to 400 dollars a month. Should i save a bit first then make some money on it and then pay it off?

It would help to know what makes up your score in order to fix your score, so here’s a breakdown:
1. Payment history-35%
2. Total debt owed to available credit ratio-30%
3. Length of time establishing credit-15%
4. Inquiries and New Accounts-10%
5. Types of credit established-10%
Definitely, I would start knocking down those credit cards. Start with the cards that are maxed out or near maxed out. These are what’s hurting your score the most. It’s important that you get balances on all your credit cards under 30%. By freeing up avaiable credit you create that necessary cushion between the total amount that’s owed and your ability to borrow. If you’re able to save $400/month you should be able to knock out the credit cards and then you can knock out the “other bill” out as well

There are no quick fixes. These people are running a scam to prey on the weak. My husband fell for it only we payed closer to $500. There was very little progress. The truth is, it has taken nearly 4 years of paying bills on time and paying back old debt to get his credit standing back to fair.
