Your Questions About How To Fix My Credit Myself

John asks…
How Can I fix terrible without going through a credit repair agency?
I need serious help! I am thinking about going to a credit repairing agency. My credit is terrible. And I really want to fix it. I don’t have any credit card debt but almost everything else is on there. I want to set up payment plans and consolidate. How can I get the lowest monthly payments from the companies? Also, the debt I already paid is still showing up as my negative items on my report. How can I get the companies to put the items positive? Also, It’s an unlawful detainer on my credit from an apartment. But I was never served any court papers and I moved out wayyy before. (thats another story!) It’s saying I owe them $2,000. My question is, if I pay them the money just to get it over with, Can I get the unlawful detainer removed from my credit? So do I need to go with a credit repairing agency(if so, which one) or is it possible for me to fix my credit myself? Thanks for the help, it’s well appreciated!

Joe answers:
Repairing ones credit on their own can be a daunting task, but it can be done. Not all entries on your credit report can be removed due to the regulations under the FCRA Running of Reporting Period – Section 605 [15 U.S.C. § 1681c]. You may even have some debts that will drop off your report once they reach the reporting limitations. You can find these at the source I have provided.
Most credit repair agencies (CCCS) and others charge you a monthly fee and make the payments for you, but many times a creditor will not accept their plan or offer for settlement.
Credit consolidation is just adding more debt to what you already have (it’s simply borrowing money to pay borrowed money), nothing but a vicious circle.
HOWEVER, there is hope. The FTC provides many free resources and ideas on how you can repair your credit on your own. Here is a link to their web site:
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/menus/consumer/credit/reports.shtm
I urge you to check them out and read about it, the more you know, the better off you are.

Carol asks…
Can i fix my own credit card by myself?
I want to have my own credit card. But, i don’t know how.
Joe answers:
Start a savings account and put it up for collateral for a secured charge card. You won’t have access to the savings until a certain time passes when you make timely payments, but it will get you going.

Linda asks…
How can I fix myself quick?
I’m.. messed up, I believe.
In the past six years(the entirety of my working life) I’ve dropped out of high school, got into a program to get my ged and succeeded although only because of a clause that they couldn’t fire anyone from the program, had.. 12 or 13 jobs, maybe more.. I’ve considered suicide countless times, and been engaged to two of the thirty women I’ve seen. Fallen in love once. Had a child. Moved across country on a whim. Starved myself. Overeaten in a gluttonous manner. Lost 6 family members. Gone to college and failed out. Ruined my credit…
And now, am an apprentice at my local IBEW, in the process it seems of screwing that up. I can’t do that. I *NEED* this to get anywhere in life.
How do I fix me?
Joe answers:
1. You cant just give up on yourself… In order to care for others, you must care for yourself.
2. Ged is good, glad you succeeeded!
3.Jobs are good, its always good to have experience at everything! ![]()
4. Suicide will get you no where all you will do is bring your loved ones down! No matter how many friends you’ve got, everybody is loved.
5. Falling in love is nice, but its not everything! – Be happy for yourself. Show others what you can do ![]()
6. Having a child is the most amazing gift anybody could be blessed with!
7. Everybody losses family members, it doesn’t mean they don’t love you, that’s just gods “plan”.
8. College, ok sometimes everybody drops out. Maybe the course you took just wasn’t ment for you. Pick something else, do NOT give up. People are suicidal and get like this because they figure they cant do anything for themselves. Well guess what ; you can do anything that you set your mind to…. Stick with it and try hard or you won;t get anywhere in life…
Apprentices are good and a well-learning experience. Pick something new maybe? You obviously don’t seem to interested…. No body likes a lazy person who can’t do anything for themselves. Try hard!!! Xo
