Recently, we have been able to catch up on our public services, automobiles, etc. Now that our fundamentals are trapped, we have to start working on credit cards and loans that have been accused of going to a collection agency. What is the best way to start paying them? Should we negotiate the balances? I want to do what is best to begin repairing our credit. Would it be smart to negotiate the balances can be paid before or pay the entire balance that will be much longer? We repair our credit and obtain all or at least most of our debt care. What is the best option here?
I was a little in this situation before a couple of years ago. Do not go through one of those "We can help you get out of debt" firms. Your best bet is to take all the bills and pay them minimum. Develop the payment plan that the collection agency will agree with. Then, save any extra money you have. When the savings is about half of its equilibrium lower, call the agency and provide a solution. If they will not have one, call the next lowest. They can give you a bid. If you can afford on that offer, do so. Your credit report will show either "charge off" or "resolved", but it is much better paid than ever. Having paid one this way, do the same for the lowest. The idea is to pay a bill to make some progress.
